Laceyville Speed Trap Named “Speed Trap of the Year” for the Third Consecutive Year

The crown has been stolen from Meshoppen yet again.

“Unbelievable,” says Meshoppen director of municipal violations Tim Graddow, “three years in a row.” Graddow says that he worked with local law enforcement agencies to increase ticketing volume in the six weeks leading up to the awards.

Meshoppen has come in second all three years.

“We must have cranked out those puppies at forty percent over 2025,” quipped Graddow, who’s had a friendly competition with Laceyville’s head of extraneous ticketing and enforcement, Denise Del Salvo. “We were tagging old ladies, handicapped plates, family. I’ll hand it to Laceyville, they know their stuff.”

Del Salvo couldn’t be reached for comment due to a planned family-related leave of absence.
